Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of AuraNotes ("the App"), developed and operated by LND Tech ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Description of Service

AuraNotes is an AI-powered meeting assistant for iOS and Apple Watch that provides:

Audio recording with high-quality capture
AI-powered transcription with speaker diarization (identification of different speakers)
Automated meeting summaries
Action item extraction
AI Chat with recordings (Pro feature)
Insights dashboard with meeting statistics and AI-powered follow-up reminders (Pro feature)
Apple Watch companion app for wrist recording
Category-based organization of recordings

2. User Requirements

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App.
You must have a compatible device running iOS 17.0 or later.
AI features require a Google Gemini API key, which you are responsible for obtaining and maintaining.
You are responsible for complying with all applicable laws regarding audio recording in your jurisdiction, including but not limited to consent laws for recording conversations.

3. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions

AuraNotes offers the following in-app purchase options, managed through Apple's App Store:

Free Tier

All users receive 1 free AI analysis per day with a 5-minute recording limit. This daily allowance resets at midnight local time.

Subscription Terms

The Pro subscription is billed monthly at €9.99 EUR (or equivalent local currency) and automatically renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.
No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods.

Day Pass Terms

Day Passes are consumable in-app purchases. Each pack provides 5 AI analysis credits.
Credits do not expire and can be used at any time.
Consumable purchases are non-refundable except as required by applicable law.
Day Passes do not include access to AI Chat or Pro-exclusive features.

4. API Key & Third-Party Services

You are responsible for obtaining and managing your own Google Gemini API key.
Your API key is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.
Usage of the Gemini API is subject to Google's terms and pricing. Any API charges from Google are your responsibility.
We are not responsible for any changes, limitations, or outages of the Gemini API.

5. Recording & Legal Compliance

Important: Laws regarding audio recording vary by jurisdiction. Many locations require the consent of all parties being recorded ("two-party consent" or "all-party consent" laws). You are solely responsible for:

Understanding and complying with all applicable recording laws in your jurisdiction.
Obtaining necessary consent from all parties before recording.
Using recordings only for lawful purposes.

LND Tech is not liable for any legal consequences arising from your use of the recording functionality.

6. Intellectual Property

The App, its design, code, and branding are the intellectual property of LND Tech.
You retain full ownership of your audio recordings and any AI-generated content derived from them.
We do not claim any rights to your content.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee:

The accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated transcriptions, summaries, or action items.
Uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Compatibility with future iOS versions or devices.
Availability or performance of third-party services (Google Gemini API).

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LND Tech shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to:

Inaccurate transcriptions or AI outputs.
Data loss (recordings, transcripts, or settings).
Missed action items or follow-ups.
Third-party API failures or charges.
Legal consequences of recording without consent.

9. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App at any time without prior notice.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict of law principles.
